Intel Corp. has recently announced the launch of new PC chips specifically designed to power computers built for artificial-intelligence tasks. The company's latest innovation, the Core Ultra mobile processors, aims to provide users with a seamless experience when using AI applications on their personal computers.

Enhancing Performance and Battery Life

In a press release on Thursday, Intel highlighted the importance of delivering improved performance and extended battery life to meet the growing demand for AI capabilities in operating systems and applications. The company believes that AI PC represents a new generation of personal computers, catering to this evolving need.

Integration with Leading Manufacturers

Intel's Core Ultra processors are set to feature in more than 230 AI PCs worldwide, including models from renowned manufacturers such as HP Inc. and Dell Technologies Inc. These processors, built on the Intel 4 process technology, mark the company's most significant architectural shift in four decades. Additionally, they incorporate advanced packaging technology for optimal performance.

Unmatched Efficiency and Power

The Core Ultra processors boast the inclusion of new Efficient-cores (E-cores) and low-power Efficient-cores (LP E-cores), providing performance levels that surpass existing competition by up to 11%. This technological advancement is a testament to Intel's commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Fifth-Generation Xeon Server Processors

Alongside the introduction of Core Ultra, Intel also revealed its fifth-generation Xeon server processors. These powerful chips offer customers enhanced compute capabilities and faster memory while maintaining the same power envelope as previous generations.

Paving the Way for the AI Revolution

Intel positions these cutting-edge chips as being vital for driving forward the AI revolution. Notably, the processors deliver an impressive 42% higher inference performance and latency of fewer than 100 milliseconds when operating with large language models under 20 billion parameters.

Intel's dedication to advancing technology has resulted in the development of these state-of-the-art PC chips, which are set to reshape the landscape of AI computing. With improved performance, extended battery life, and integration with leading manufacturers, Intel is empowering users to make the most of AI applications on their personal computers.
