APA Group recently announced a significant increase in their half-year net profit, showcasing their successful acquisition of Alinta Energy Pilbara and their ability to adjust consumer prices accordingly. The company reported a net profit of A$1.05 billion for the six months ending in December, a notable increase from A$190.7 million the previous year.

Financial Highlights

  • Net Profit: A$1.05 billion
  • Ebitda: A$930 million
  • Revenue: A$1.52 billion

The results were positively impacted by successful acquisitions, including a full six-month contribution from Basslink and a two-month contribution from Pilbara Energy System. APA remains optimistic, confirming an interim distribution of 26.5 cents per share, with expectations of a total distribution of 56 cents per share for the year.

Future Outlook

APA anticipates an underlying Ebitda between A$1.87 billion and A$1.91 billion for the fiscal year ending in June. As one of Australia's leading energy-infrastructure companies, APA's portfolio includes gas-transmission pipelines, gas storage facilities, power stations, and wind farms.

Expansion and Growth

In line with their growth strategy, APA completed the acquisition of Alinta Energy Pilbara in November and announced plans to build the Kurri Kurri Lateral Pipeline to support a gas-fired power station in New South Wales.

APA's strong financial performance and strategic investments position the company for continued success in the energy sector.
